Keys To Success In Home Care

Here are some of the reasons AHI Group, Inc home care startup agencies have an edge over their competition and are consistently able to win business in their local market place.

No Royalties. No Territory. AHI Group wants you to have the best chance of success and so it does not restrict it’s member’s ability to market wherever they want. After all, we cannot stop every other home care organization out there moving into your “protected territory” – even if we were to restrict our other members from coming into your area. We believe it is better to allow the 1 or 2 potential other AHI Group members to have access to your area rather than restrict them that access and therefore have to restrict you and them to a territory that we cannot protect from all the other home care startup companies out there. Deciding where you want to market and being able to follow your leads – wherever they take you – with the constant backing of our coaching team will allow you the best opportunity to grow your business during that all important first year and ensure you don’t end up failing to get off the ground like 20% of the home care agency startups out there in the industry. Giving you the option to market wherever you get a “foothold” and having our professional support team behind you every step of the way during that all important first year will give you the edge needed to help ensure your success! It is important that you go into this “fight” with both hands free and professional coaching behind you – as apposed to fighting with one hand tied behind your back due to a small territory and no professional coaching behind you. That’s what we call flexibility, innovative thinking, and unlimited revenue potential!

StartupHomeCare Is Not A Consulting Company. Consulting companies often lean towards a “Set and forget” with their customers – there is no responsibility or accountability for their customers once they finish with the consulting. AHI Group (AHI) -StartupHomeCare is built on the franchise model but offers optional fees – not mandatory royalties. AHI is a Membership Organization and makes recurring revenue from its member agencies through optional programs that AHI members can ‘opt-in’ to use. As each agency grows so does AHI recurring revenue. Its a win-win scenario that promotes both sides of the equation to work hard.

AHI agencies can withdraw from the optional programs at any time and market their business without AHI’s programs and pay no more fees to AHI – unlike a franchise who charges a royalty on any revenue their franchisee makes. One of the optional programs is the AHI Veteran Program that bills at $24/hour and can provide an average of $8 in net profit per hour. Each Veteran qualifies for an average of 68 hours of care per month. Our goal is for each agency to add 30 Veteran clients per year. It’s a win-win for both our member agencies and AHI!each AHI Agency grows

No Corporate Restrictions Over Snap On Businesses That Drive More revenue i.e. Assisted Living Placements, Transportation Services, Medical Alert Devices, Moving Services, Household Employee Recruiting, etc. AHI Group, Inc agencies get to “snap on” all of these additional revenue streams.

Eight Days Of Intensive AHI University™ Boot Camp Training taught by StartupHomeCare Founders – people who have actually been in your shoes and started their own agency and grown it into a million dollar in annual revenue company in less than two years during a recession (launched in 2007) in a competitive market that had over 200 existing home care agency startups. That’s experience! The Boot Camp is taught in small groups so that each person gets sufficient one on one time but also gets to interact and learn from other member agencies from the US and Canada who are also starting their agency at that same time. Our Support Team of industry home care startup professionals supports our member agencies after they launch their new agency. However, in addition to our support, relationships established between member agencies at our Boot Camps continue on after training and give our members a network of other agencies who are at the same stage in starting their business to share ideas and discuss issues, etc. In addition, our network of over 300 (as of January 2015) member agencies across the US and Canada is accessible to all of our members to help them share ideas and discuss issues with other agencies who have been in business for a number of years.

Innovative Sales and Marketing Techniques that will get you in doors closed to others and add value to the healthcare community at the same time. We guarantee that 90% of other agencies in North America are not using these proprietary techniques. You won’t get taught the same things a Home Care Sales & Marketing Consultant is selling to everyone else on the street. AHI keeps its techniques within its walls so Member Agencies have a leg up over their competition.

Medicare/Medicaid – Some consultants will tell you that they can get your new home care agency startup approved for Medicare and Medicaid in order to bill CMS and get paid. The reality, however, is that Medicare does not pay for long term care – it only pays for skilled nursing care and you have to be a home health agency to apply (we will send you information on the differences between a skilled nursing and personal care agency in a later email). As for Medicaid, it does pay for long term care (personal care) but each state regulates what it pays home care agencies who contract with their state Medicaid to be providers. Some states (PA) pay $20/hour but almost all other states pays $12 – $16 hour for their elderly personal care programs. If an agency is paying its employees $10-12/hour and then has to pay Workers Compensation and employee taxes (which equate to an additional 20% of each employees pay) then the average agency pays $12 – $14.50 per hour for their caregivers. That leaves them either at a negative cash flow – or at best making $1.50 per hour – depending on the state. Most home care agency startups do not work with their state Medicaid personal care programs because there is none to little profit in it.

AHI Group does not bait and switch its members with gimmicks that do not pay off in the long term. AHI Group has programs that allow its members to make $8 – $10/hr in net profit (like its VA Program). Making $8 – $10 per hour equates to more profit and less work for the agency owners.

Member Testimonial. “I have been in medical sales for over 15 years and I can tell you the AHI Group VA Program starts the conversation with any physician or skilled nursing facility. We have only been launched for a few weeks and have already activated three Veteran clients and have two more on the way. For the first time in my career I truly feel we are helping someone out every day and can do it often times without them paying a penny out of pocket. Thanks for all your help, great lead generating programs and support!” Matt D. Fairfax, VA.
